Living with a Host Family

Alessandro famille.2 copie

Host families are selected carefully by our local coordinators to ensure that they provide a warm, welcoming, safe and healthy environment. They also ensure that the host family's home, lifestyle and interests meet the needs of the student.

Download The International Student Handbook 2023-2024 (PDF).

Coordinators
Our home stay coordinators offer active support to the students during their entire stay. They closely follow each student's academic progress, as well as how well he or she is doing socially at school and at home.

Communication
Students, their parents and the host families start communicating well before the beginning of the program, in order for them to get to know each other, exchange information and answer any questions that come up. Communication between parents abroad, the student and his or her host family in Canada, continues throughout his or her stay either by phone or online.

Insurance
MBC-onscreen

While living in Canada, the cost for medical coverage is included in the program fees.
