Myriam Russell studied in information-communication at the Université de Moncton. Her career has taken her to various places, having worked as a journalist and editor of the newspaper La Voix du Restigouche, assistant director of the Fédération des jeunes francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick, development officer for entrepreneurial projects at Place aux compétences, and manager of food and youth services at the Centre communautaire Sainte-Anne. She has also contributed to some projects with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, such as the Politique d'aménagement linguistique et culturelle and CONFEMEN. She is currently working at l’Association des enseignantes et des enseignants francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick as a public relations officer.
In the past, she has served on the board of directors of the Regroupement féministe du Nouveau-Brunswick and of L'Envolée daycare service. She currently serves as secretary of the CPAÉ of L'École des Bâtisseurs in Fredericton.
Originally from Balmoral, Myriam has lived in the Fredericton area for seven years. She is the mother of three children.
